Early Days is finished and released!
Folk Music Ontario invited showcase performance of Song for Louis Riel, on Saturday October 18, 2-4pm, Westin Bristol Place, 950 Dixon Road, Toronto.
Recording continues on the last tracks of our upcoming CD "Early Days" at Blue Gull Studio in Kitchener with legendary producer, JK Gulley. This is the home stretch and we hope to have the CD released before Christmas. yay!
May 22 - 24 I had a great time playing at the Nashville Songwriter's Association International "Tin Pan North" Festival. This festival is held at several venues around Toronto and Oakville, and this year I played at the Black Swan Tavern on Danforth Avenue.
July 6 Vancouver Island! Played the Back Street Pub in Royston.
August 8-10 Kingsville Folk Festival! Thanks to Michele and John Law for including Same Latitude As Rome on a program with some of the folk icons of Canadian folk music!
August 22-24 The Gathering, Burlington, Newfoundland - "Food, Fire, Music". Wow!! The greatest chefs in the world, Newfoundland hospitality, comedy, music, what else is there!!
September 3 Radio Interview and preview of four new songs from SLAR's upcoming CD on 92.9 The Grand FM. I uploaded this as a podcast, and you can listen on our Soundcloud site by clicking on the Soundcloud link on this site.

Canada's History magazine features Same Latitude As Rome in their current April/May issue and includes a free download of the song "Brock at Detroit" from the band's 1812 CD.
As you may recognize, if you have visited our site recently, we have revamped our web site to include all of our musical endeavours as well as our 1812 CD and shows. Thanks to everyone who made the last 2 years of 1812 concerts and festivals so memorable!
If you are a promoter or agent and would like to see a listing of past gigs, this information is available upon request by contacting us. We decided to focus on upcoming activities and events in this section so please check it often. There's always something bound to be happening.
Same Latitude As Rome is currently in songwriting and recording mode for our new project - either a CD or EP to be entitled "Early Days". This project will include our best songs from our Canadiana/roots repertoire. If you have heard SLAR or myself as a solo artist perform outside of our 1812 show, you may have heard some of these songs. "Song for Louis Riel", "Song for David Thompson" and "Cypress Hills Massacre" are a few of the titles that we will be producing on the new album.
